Frequently asked questions

When should I arrive?

Participants should arrive 10-15 minutes before class, to check in and find seating. If you are running late, it’s best to notify via Instagram, email, or a form in the “contact me” section. See the Refund Policy towards the bottom of the page or the Policy section if a participant can’t make it or is running late.

What do I wear?

Something you’re okay with getting dirty! Accidents are bound to happen and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

What happens if I don’t register?

Walk-in participants are welcome, however, we have limited seats and supplies. Special events will be hosted for walk-in participants only such as Studio Hour.

What are the prices for a class?

Classes are determined by the size of the canvas, expected number of participants, length of time, and the difficulty of the painting. For example, a small 2 in x 2 in painting for an hour will be $15, while the largest canvas, 16 in x 20 in for 3-hour custom class will be $60 per participant.

What is your refund policy?

To receive a full refund, a notice of 48 hours or more is encouraged. 24 hours before the event will receive a full refund via store credit to be used at a later date. No-shows will not be awarded any kind of refund. Private parties will have their own cancellation policy and groups of 4 or more will need a 48-hour notice to receive any refund. If you are 20 minutes late to a 1-hour class, or 35 minutes to a longer class with no notice, you will not be allowed to paint. If notice is given via DM through Instagram or email, payment will be refunded in store credit to be used at a later time. If no notice is given, there will be no refund.

If a class is canceled for any reason by the instructor, full refunds will be given to participants.

For more questions or to give notice to the instructor, please contact Sara via paint@saraisa.art or @Saraisa.art

Do you have reserved seating?

Seating is first come first serve, however, if a group signs up together the host can ask to be seated together! Seating is bound to change and most of the time there is rearrangement at the beginning of class.

Do I need to bring anything for classes?

Everything will be provided! Feel free to bring your supplies from home (yes, your all-time favorite brush). I would recommend wearing clothes that you are okay with getting paint on as accidents happen!

Do I need to know how to paint?

All levels are welcome for group-led paint classes. If you want to elevate your skill, intermediate and advanced classes may be more your speed. As always, classes are about learning and growing!

What is supplied for a class?

Nearly everything you need but a smile! Paint brushes, water, towels, canvases, paint, easels, and palettes will be provided.

Do you host private or corporate events?

Yes! You can check out how to book a class under “Private Party”. Parties have more flexibility in theme, location, and type of project. The sky is the limit so don’t be afraid to ask questions when filling out the interest form!

Can I bring my own supplies/projects?

Yes! I encourage all students to work on their own pieces. Studio Hour will be available where all supplies are available to students. Check out my process page to see how I recommend new students get started at home!

Can I tip the instructor?

Yes, I am a college student building my first passionate project! Tips are appreciated but even more, is letting me know what you like and want to see most in these art classes<3

Is there an age limit?

No, however, I highly recommend if an event is marked BYOB children not be present. Groups of 21+ are only allowed to consume alcoholic beverages. If you would like to see events catered toward children or ask for a specific theme, feel free to fill out a form on the Contact page.
