Sara Hambleton

Something changed when I started teaching people how to paint 5 years ago. I love seeing their first steps into exploring their creativity.

Bringing people back to art

Sara is currently attending ASU, studying Marketing with a minor in Studio Art.

Sara Hambleton has been hosting amazing art events throughout the Valley for the past four years. From cat cafés to Arizona State University, Sara has been creating art opportunities in relaxing, engaging environments. She wholeheartedly believes that every person is capable of great art!

Sara has wanted to start her own paint business ever since she started teaching 5 years ago. Missy Pruit, a local business owner in Phoenix, took a chance on her and asked her to host a bachelorette paint and wine party (with cats of course!). Sara, a sophomore in high school, said yes!

The Cat Cafe had a new paint instructor for the next year and a half! Shortly after March 2020, the cat cafe had to close (for obvious reasons:/). Due to COVID-19, Sara took a break from teaching that extended to August 2021.

When she started to explore Arizona State University, Sara found a program called Group Wellness classes. They were classes meant to help the well-being of students, focusing on physical and mental health. Walking into the first “Painting on the Go” class (now known as “Devils Do Art”) Sara knew that this was a job she wanted.

Fast forward 2 years later and Sara has transformed the program, instructing both recurring and new students.

However, there are limits to a school program and a vision continued to grow of starting her own paint business. It didn’t happen overnight, and it most certainly started and stopped many, many times. Here are some people that contributed to her dream:
