Paint your pet is a themed open studio class. This is for students who specifically want to sit down and paint their furry friends. I highly recommend having a picture in mind before coming to class. You will have the option for an instructor to outline the photo of your pet during the class.

How does this class work?
Students register for open studio hours, either choosing their canvas beforehand or in person (sometimes it’s best to choose a canvas when you can hold it in your hands). Depending on the size of the canvas and level of detail, a custom painting can range from 1-4 hours. An instructor will be available to answer questions and guide the painting. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and ask questions throughout the process. Many students who have done pet portraits are incredibly happy with the process and results. If students run out of time or want to work further on their pieces, studio time will be available to them at a reduced price.
Do I need to bring anything for Paint Your Pet open studio?
Everything will be provided! Feel free to bring your supplies from home (yes, your all-time favorite brush). I would recommend wearing clothes that you are okay with getting paint on as accidents happen! Please bring a photo of your pet, either on your phone or a physical copy.
Are kids allowed?
Yes! Kids 12 and under are $5.99 for a canvas board! If your mini artist would like to do a larger canvas (8x8” and above), the price of the canvas will be added to their registration ticket ($5.99+$2.45). An adult ticket is $19.99 + the cost of the canvas they choose.
Will there be a set painting that I need to do?
There will not be a set painting. Students are encouraged to have an image of their paintings before class. The instructor will be available to ask questions and guide each person’s painting.
Do I need to know how to paint?
All levels are welcome for paint classes. An instructor will be present to guide students, from mixing the right color to inspiring students with examples. As always, classes are about learning and growing!
What is supplied for a class?
Nearly everything you need but a smile! Paint brushes, water, towels, canvases, paint, easels, and palettes will be provided. The canvases supplied will vary by inventory (11x14”, 12x12”,8x8”,2.6x2.6” Magnetic Mini Canvas, 2.5x2.5” Mini Canvas)
